KAMBING YANG AHLI PANJAT DINDING
Manusia memanjat
dinding bukan pemandangan asin. Namun, di pegunungan Alpen Italia, di
ketinggian 4.600 meter dari permukaan laut, kambing ibex ternyata juga suka melawan gravitasi. Kambing-kambing itu memilih
memanjat dinding bendungan setinggi 160 kaki daripada memilih jalan lain.
Padahal dinding bendungan itu hampir-hampir vertikal.
Mereka tentu
saja bukan sedang pamer kemampuan. Diperkirakan, mereka berada di sana untuk
menjilat bebatuan, mencari garam, dan memakan lumut. Spesies ibex di pegunungan Alpen merupakan jenis
kambing liar yang banyak ditemukan di wilayah pegunungan di Eropa. Mereka
mencari tempat-tempat yang cukup tinggi untuk menghindari predator.
Banyak yang
percaya bagian-bagian tubuh ibex
berguna sebagai ramuan ajaib. Karena itulah, kambing ibex banyak diburu dan hampir punah pada awal abad ke-19.

WALL
Human scaled the
walls instead of salty scenery. However, in the Italian Alps, at an altitude of
4,600 meters above sea level, goat ibex apparently also likes to defy gravity.
The goats had to choose to climb the wall of the dam as high as 160 feet rather
than choosing another path. Though the dam wall was almost vertical.
They're
certainly not showing off capabilities. Estimated, they are there to lick the
rocks, looking for salt, and eat the moss. Species of ibex in the Alps is a
type of wild goat found in the mountainous region of Europe. They look for
places is high enough to avoid predators.
Many believe the
body parts ibex useful as a magic potion. For this reason, many hunted ibex
goats and endangered species at the beginning of the 19th century.
